While it might be obvious that girls like strong men - both mentally and physically - it is not so obvious that men do the the same - well maybe not so much physically, but certainly most guys hate whining babies.
Men are attracted by strong, independent women, so don't start to whine in the face of a minor difficulty. It might sound very romantic to picture the Guy as your brave protector but rest assured that he will dislike having to dry your tears because your nail has broken. Well, if there is something worse than a whining lady, then it is a whining man, so unless you have found one of these toy-boys (poor you, if you did), your cries and tears over minor issues will not be at your advantage.
