If you happen to live in rented premises, most often the first thought that comes to your mind is to have a friend for a roommate.
While this certainly has many advantages, there is only one, but unfortunately major disadvantage - living together with your best friend might put so much pressure on your friendship that it will break. Dealing with household chores and having disputes over money is very marriage-like and for many people this has ruined friendships that had lasted for years.
